At Night Owl T-Shirt Quilts, we want you to have the best experience possible when ordering, creating, and owning your t-shit quilt, and a huge part of that is educating each of our customers. Our Founder and Head Quilt Designer, Jennifer, grew up spending her time in her grandmother’s quilt shop, and she is an expert at clearing up any confusion about our products. Below, we have outlined five misconceptions about t-shirt quilts:

Only t-shirts can be used. Even though they’re most commonly called t-shirt quilts, our custom quilts can be made with a wide variety of materials! We can use sweatshirts, jackets, jeans, duffel bags, uniforms, and more. Anyone can make a t-shirt quilt. If they have the right tools and experience – maybe, just maybe, but don’t get your hopes up. If you want something worth the money and time you’re putting into it, don’t trust some random person to make you a t-shirt quilt. Crafting a unique, quality t-shirt quilt takes time, patience, and skill.

All t-shirt quilts are the same. Luckily, this could not be further from the truth! Each t-shirt quilt crafted by Night Owl artists is unique to the owner. We make sure that each of your t-shirts is highlighted in the best way possible while also creating a stunning piece that can be used for comfort or decoration.

T-shirt quilts are hard to clean. Surprisingly, this is one of the biggest misconceptions about t-shirt quilts. While we do recommend doing what you think is best for your personal t-shirt quilt, having your quilt dry-cleaned or cleaned by any professional is not always necessary. If your t-shirt quilt contains all machine washable materials, then you can safely wash your quilt at home with no worries!
- T-shirt quilts are just for kids. T-shirt quilts can preserve childhood memories, but kids aren’t the only ones who can enjoy a t-shirt quilt!
